Josef founded Nativy in 2011 because he believed that ordering professional translations could be made as easy as booking a flight online.
Josef leads the following areas: Administration, HR, Finance and Legal.
Josef speaks five languages himself (although he leaves the job of translating to experienced professionals!) and previously led international sales at a multi-billion dollar company for five years.
Anchal leads our teams for project management and for sales. She makes sure that the needs of our clients are met.
She studied social theory at Harvard and worked as a lobbyist before, building networks for democratic reform at the EU level, and for a new program on social innovation in Vienna.
She speaks four languages fluently.
Clients, translators, and partners often ask us about our unique name. People wonder if we meant to call it “Natify,” “Native”, and even “Nativity”! This confusion always amuses us, particularly “Nativity” (though we should emphasize that Nativy has no religious affiliation), but none of these names were what we were thinking of when we formed Nativy.
It’s a funny fact, that Google shows our page also in the search results for Natify or Nativity translation
When we started Nativy, we wanted a name that would capture what we were good at: seamlessly connecting clients with native translators to fulfill their translation needs. We thought about choosing a basic name like “Native Translations Online” or something similar, but that would’ve been a little too boring.
Then, it came to us—if words of all languages are our specialty, we should want to create a new one: Nativy. 3000 translators and over 5 million translated words later, we’re proud of the translation agency we’ve built to match the Nativy name.
